NVIDIA announced Open Agent Safety Platform on September 28 as a set of controls intended to bound agent behavior from testing through deployment.
Open-source controls and a hardware reference design
The release includes OpenShell, an open-source environment for applying limits to agents, and a Sentry reference design using NVIDIA BlueField infrastructure to monitor activity. NVIDIA says it can isolate a misbehaving agent in milliseconds.
SecurityWeek independently described the software-plus-hardware design. Containment speed and security efficacy remain vendor claims; the announcement is not an independent security audit.
