The framework sets executive-branch priorities
The governor’s office says data centers should bear appropriate infrastructure costs, meet stronger efficiency expectations and operate under clearer planning standards. The order also prioritizes clean-energy additions and limits reliance on onsite natural-gas generation, while leaving some measures to agencies and future legislation.
The AI task force has a broad policy brief
The task force is directed to examine workforce displacement, education, privacy, cybersecurity and responsible adoption. It is a governance body, not a new model, regulator or enforcement agency, and its recommendations have not yet been produced.
Implementation remains the open question
