NVIDIA has launched DSX Ready, a qualification program for power and cooling products intended to work within its DSX AI-factory reference designs.
The first categories cover batteries and liquid cooling
The program initially covers battery energy storage systems and coolant distribution units. NVIDIA lists Hitachi Energy, LG Energy Solution and Tesla for qualified BESS offerings, and LG Electronics, LiquidStack and Vertiv for qualified CDU offerings.
Qualification is product-specific
NVIDIA says BESS suppliers run required tests and submit supporting data for review, while CDU suppliers use a self-qualification suite against applicable functional requirements. Vertiv separately says its 2.3 MW CoolChip model is the first CDU specifically qualified under the program.
A badge does not validate an entire data center
Both NVIDIA and Vertiv state that qualification does not replace site-level engineering or guarantee stability for a particular facility. No deployment savings, reliability gains or completed customer installations were independently measured in the reviewed sources.
